The North Dakota Department of Emergency Services (NDDES) is issuing a Notice of Intent to Apply for the FY 2025 State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSP). North Dakota entities must complete and submit the Notice of Intent to the NDDES Division of Homeland Security (NDDES-HLS) if they intend to apply for FY 2025 State Homeland Security Program (SHSP) funding.
Funding for this program is provided by the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The SHSP assists state, local, and tribal efforts to build, sustain, and deliver capabilities to prevent, prepare for, protect against, and respond to acts of terrorism.
SHSP eligible entities are North Dakota local government. Local government is defined as a county, municipality, city, town, township, local public authority, special district, intrastate district, council of governments, regional government entity, or agency or instrumentality of a local government; an Indian tribe or authorized tribal organization; a rural community, unincorporated town or village, or other public entity.
The deadline to submit the NOI is Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. CT.
