G318 Mitigation Planning for Local Governments

G318 Mitigation Planning for Local Governments provides plan developers with the information necessary to prepare and implement a local hazard mitigation plan. This class will be held at the Cass County Emergency Management Offices, 4630 15th Ave. N., Fargo, ND, Sept 23, 2019, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and September 24 and 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Local government officials, state officials, and others who are involved in the development of a local mitigation plan are encouraged to attend.

Course Objectives include the following:
Define hazard mitigation and identify the benefits of mitigation planning.
Develop or update a local mitigation plan.
Identify resources and guidance available for mitigation planning and plan implementation.


A block of rooms has been reserved at the Expressway Suites, 4304 17th Ave. S, Fargo, ND for the nights of September 23 and 24, 2019. Please call 877-239-4303 and ask for the "NDDES Training Block". These rooms are available at state rate until Sept 4, 2019. 

NDDES will reimburse appropriate eligible participants for hotel and meal per diem per state policy. We do not reimburse for mileage or gas.
