ND Dept of Emergecny Services is hosting this virtual class provided by the National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT).  The class will be held on January 19 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and January 20 from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. via ZOOM.

Emergency responders, security professionals, security support staff, and the public must work together to identify suspicious objects, substances, and people.  This course trains public safety personnel to improve their observational techniques by using a four-step ongoing screening process that includes increasing protective awareness, identifying
preoperational behaviors, evaluating, and taking action.  Participants will use fictional
scenarios to examine each step of the process.

The primary target audience for this course is law enforcement and security personnel.
The secondary audience includes fire services, emergency medical services, public safety personnel, surveillance operators, facility managers, and any others who support security operations for sites or events.
